It is believed that the name "Teirharfa" goes back to the Semitic root "Teir" meaning a high place, and "Harfa" meaning the edge or end, which refers to its geographical location on an overlooking height.

Welcome to Teirharfa
Teirharfa is an example of southern villages that rely on community solidarity and diaspora in financing their projects. The town of Teirharfa was hit by a great catastrophe during the recent war, and became in need of real support in all sectors in order to restart life in it, especially the infrastructure sector that can provide a safe return for the town's residents.
Teirharfa is a town located in the Tyre district, within the South Governorate of Lebanon, specifically near the border with occupied Palestine. Teirharfa is located in southern Lebanon and is about 16 km from the city of Tyre. It rises about 415 meters above sea level. It is famous for growing olives, figs, and citrus.
